"Our student-athletes did a great job during the fall semester and have set an amazing precedent for semesters to come, achieving an overall department grade point average of 3.30,” Athletic Director Nick Weinmeister said.
Student-athletes arrived at Northeast Iowa Community College’s (NICC) campus in the middle of August, and this was the official start for Cougar athletics programs.
“The regional competition served as an excellent test for us,” Head Coach Anthony Sisneros said. “It provided our student-athletes with the opportunity to compete at a new range and face programs they don’t typically encounter.”
"While no individual awards were handed out," Head Coach Anthony Sisneros said, "our athletes delivered strong individual performances that powered our overall score.”
“It was a good start to the season,” returning NICC sports shooter Elizabeth Ward said. “It could’ve been better, but there is always room for improvement..."
“Seeing so many NICC students named to Academic All-Region Teams is truly amazing and highlights a core value of our program," Head Esports Coach Verrick Foust said.
