To make it easier for students to take online courses offered by postsecondary institutions based in another state, the College is part of theState Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA)which establishes comparable national standards for the interstate offering of postsecondary distance education courses and programs. SARA is overseen by a National Council and administered by four regional education compacts.

Online programs that lead to licensure or certification in Iowa may not meet requirements in another state for similar licensure. If you do not reside in Iowa, please contact online@nicc.edu so we may determine whether our program meets the requirements for professional licensure in your state.

Process for Resolving Complaints

Online students residing in a SARA state should attempt to resolve grievances through 网赌网站's institutional process for filing a complaint. If a student is not satisfied with the outcome of 网赌网站's process, the complaint (except for those involving grades or student conduct violations) may be brought to the Bureau of Iowa College Aid, Iowa Department of Education. Northeast Iowa Community College is registered as a private institution with the Minnesota Office of Higher Education pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, sections 136A.61 to 136A.71. Registration is not an endorsement of the institution. Credits earned at the institution may not transfer to all other institutions.
