You will graduate with a unique combination of agronomy, natural resources and environmental science coursework that includes hands-on soil health testing. Gain the expertise and knowledge to bridge the gap between production agriculture and environmental concerns to assist farmers in being effective producers of clean water and healthy soil. Cross-training experiences of the program include studies in sociology and psychology and real-world collaboration assisting other students in forming watershed communities.

You will also learn watershed ecology concepts, typical watershed structure and how watersheds work in size and over time. Learning about natural and human-induced changes in watersheds helps provide you with problem-solving skills to mitigate adverse effects on our environment. As a graduate you have the option of transferring to a four-year college to pursue a conservation management degree.

Kibbie Grant Eligible

This scholarship is for Iowa residents enrolled in specific high-demand career/technical programs. It provides a maximum award of $4,500 per year for up to two years. The FAFSA is required and the award is based on need.

Last-Dollar Scholarship

This state funded scholarship is for Iowa residents enrolled in specific high-demand career programs and pays remaining tuition costs after all other federal and state aid has been applied. The FAFSA is required and the award is based on need.

Any student enrolled in this program is eligible for 网赌网站 scholarships. The 网赌网站 Foundation offers a wide range of scholarship award amounts and all students are encouraged to apply.

Enrollment Process

Apply for admission.
Submit official high school, high school equivalency and/or college transcripts to the Admissions Office of the campus you plan to attend.
Complete ACCUPLACER® reading and writing assessment and ALEKS® math assessment for course placement. Assessments may be waived based on previous college coursework or submission of valid ACT®, or SAT® test scores. Reading and writing scores are valid for three years, and math scores are valid for two years.
