You will learn industry-leading diagnostic and repair skills for diesel electrical systems, fuel systems, drivetrains and engines. In our hands-on full-service lab If you have prior expertise in front-to-rear maintenance of diesel equipment, our competency-based education format may allow you to progress through lab work more quickly. You will work with peers in the program to demonstrate safety, shop standards, how to apply diesel mechanic theory to vehicle repair and the ability to demonstrate accuracy, proficiency and quality of work.

Graduates of this program have a high employment rate. Some students hired as diesel mechanics even before graduation. If you love mechanics, hands-on work and diesel engines, this program is the perfect fit for you.

Kibbie Grant Eligible

This scholarship is for Iowa residents enrolled in specific high-demand career/technical programs. It provides a maximum award of $4,500 per year for up to two years. The FAFSA is required and the award is based on need.

Last-Dollar Scholarship

This state funded scholarship is for Iowa residents enrolled in specific high-demand career programs and pays remaining tuition costs after all other federal and state aid has been applied. The FAFSA is required and the award is based on need.

Any student enrolled in this program is eligible for 网赌网站 scholarships. The 网赌网站 Foundation offers a wide range of scholarship award amounts and all students are encouraged to apply.

Enrollment Process

Apply for admission.
Submit official high school, high school equivalency and/or college transcripts to the Admissions Office of the campus you plan to attend.
Complete ACCUPLACER® reading and writing assessment and ALEKS® math assessment forcourse placement. Assessments may be waived based on previous college coursework or submission of valid ACT®, or SAT® test scores. Reading and writing scores are valid for three years, and math scores are valid for two years.
