NORTHEAST IOWA–Northeast Iowa Community College (网赌网站) has named Amy A. Lasack vice president of Business and Community Solutions. She begins the new role at 网赌网站 on Nov. 13.

Business and Community Solutions is the customized training, workforce development and continuing education division of 网赌网站, offering a variety of education and training options for businesses and individuals to obtain or advance their skills.

Lasack’s career in higher education spans 20 years for Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, where she has specialized in workforce, education and collaborations with employers and local organizations. Most recently executive director of continuing education for Kirkwood, Lasack also served the college as senior director of corporate training, director of training and outreach services, skills advantage program director and as a dislocated worker career consultant.

Lasack earned a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from St. Ambrose University in Davenport in 2008 and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Cornell College in Mount Vernon in 1996. She is the recipient of numerous honors for her work and leadership in higher education including; the Corridor Leaders honor in 2022 and 2023, LERN Corporate Training Lead Generation Award in 2018, and, from Kirkwood, the Distinguished Service Award in 2018 and the Innovator of the Year Award in 2017.
