MONTROSE, Iowa—The Northeast Iowa Community College Sports Shooting squad, competing at its first meet this spring, fell to Southeastern Community College 374-465 at Tri-State Gun Club in Montrose on April 6.

Second-year student athlete, Melody Gossman (pictured at right), produced two of the meet’s standout highlights by shooting a 94 out of 100 to finish 1^st place individual female and tie for 2^nd place overall.

“We just took one squad with us to this meet. Melody Gossman shot very well,” stated team coach Anthony Sisneros. “As a team this was our first meet back this spring and we were a little rusty. The team took it on the chin 374-465. We are ready to have a full team back this coming Saturday as we host a home meet at Turkey Valley Gun Club versus Southwestern Community College. We would love have spectators come and cheer us on.”
