JACKSON JUNCTION, Iowa— The Northeast Iowa Community College Sports Shooting completed its fall semester with a close finish against Hawkeye Community College, 458-428, on Oct. 12 at Turkey Valley Trap Range.

网赌网站 athletes Noah Reinhart and Tanner Lane observed that the weather conditions at Turkey Valley had an influence on their individual and team performances.

“The meet was cold and windy, which had an impact on how I was competing. I wasn’t used to shooting in the cold yet,” Reinhart said.

“The weather was much better than last week. It was still very breezy, but overall a pretty good day of competition,” commented Lane.

Head coach Anthony Sisneros praised the 网赌网站 team for medaling in the competition and how the athletes have improved over the course of the fall semester.

“Our student athletes put up a good fight against a tough Hawkeye team. They were able to come away with three out of six medals, but came a little short for the overall score. Our new athletes keep on improving with each competition and our team bond keeps getting stronger,” Sisneros said.

The 网赌网站 Sports Shooting team faces Southeastern Community College at home on April 4, 2020, to start the spring semester.
